The Berwick Inn - Polegate

Appreciated my 1 night stay. Overall it was modern and spotless, with an outdoor bathroom. The view was splendid here. The excellent service and the attention to detail! There were fast internet and ample parking available.

The bedroom was neat and spotless.

The personnel was competent, and the owner too. The location was convenient, within a close distance from Beatrix Potter Gallery.

Would recommend for a brief pause

Comfortable room, friendly service, with fresh milk available for our stay and a lovely bar area to unwind.

Excellent staff and delicious meals

The staff were friendly, especially by accommodating our early breakfast request- great service! We loved the cozy room with garden views and the high-quality meals, particularly the vegan options. The room could benefit from having a TV for some evening entertainment.

Had a fantastic getaway with friends! We explored the beautiful circular walks, including the scenic Long Man, and enjoyed a good wine tasting at a local vineyard. The food was great. Highly recommend checking out the restaurant for its yummy dishes. The rooms were clean and cozy too!

The only downside was the narrowness of the beds, tough to get a good night's sleep.

Cozy stay with friendly vibes

Had a lovely night here with super friendly staff! The room was cozy, and the garden view was nice. We went for dinner in the bar/lounge area, chill. Just a bummer that drinks took a while to come, and we got short-changed on the veggies. Great spot for what we needed!

A lovely old inn filled with character, the clean Beautiful Double Room with Garden View provided a cozy retreat. The staff, especially Hazel, were wonderfully helpful and was really good. On a previous stay, we experienced poor communication when we arrived late, only to find the hotel closed on a Monday. Another visit had a dining mishap with an uncooked burger, although the staff rectified it promptly. The location is fantastic, and the drinks were great.

The powerful shower and friendly staff made our stay very enjoyable, especially as they accommodated our early breakfast request before the normal time.

An Unexpected Delight with Atmosphere and Flavor!

The steak I enjoyed was the best I've ever had! The chefs are amazing and the staff exude warmth and friendliness. I suggest arriving early to enjoy breakfast-an hour earlier would be great for business travelers!

The location was perfect for us as we were walking the Vanguard Way. The room was clean and comfortable, and I really liked the cozy ambiance of the bar area, even though we couldn't dine there. It's a shame the trains were so loud at night, but the friendly staff helped make our stay pleasant overall.

I had a pleasant stay at Berwick Inn, enjoying the friendly staff and the clean, cozy room. The location suited my walking needs along the Vanguard Way, though the noise from nearby trains disrupted my rest. A charming place for nature lovers.

I stayed in the Beautiful Double or Twin Room with Garden View. The bed was super comfy, and the room was clean and cozy. The little fridge with fresh milk for tea was a nice touch too. There was some noise from the trains nearby, but it didn't bother me much. It really fit my needs for a short stay.

Family with children find a gem

The staff were impressively accommodating. We arrived with our little 4-year-old and they were more than happy to whip up an apple crumble just for her, even though it wasn't on the kids menu. The beef and lamb for the roast was great, cooked to perfection.

It wasn't exactly cheap , but I'd say it was still worth it.
